A  field  in  perfect  condition allowed one of the best displays of open rugby by players representing the club, with Adrian  Johnstone ( Bristol  Soc ) refereeing  positively the  game flowed  from  start  to  finish and  confirmed  the  high  quality  of  Welsh  schoolboy rugby  associated  with  recent  Llandovery -  Accies  encounters.

In the  first  half,   the  Accies forwards provided  a  strong  platform   in  scrums  and  rucks, which allowed  Jacob  Lloyd  at  Outside  Half  to    bring  his  threequarter  line  into continual  action. Accies  scored  three  tries  through  R.Harries, C.Gould and J. Chapman from  concerted well  supported  attacks  with  Lloyd  converting only  Gould's  try. The   College  pack  competed   strongly  and won  sufficient  ball  for  their  threequarters  to  score a  clever  try early  on  which  was  converted. Unfortunately  poor  handling  under  pressure   caused  them  to  miss   further  scoring  opportunites.  At  half  time  the  score stood  at  Accies  17  points  and College  7 points.

The  pattern  of  play  did  not  change  in  the  second  half. The  Accies  pack  continued  to  thrive  in  attack  and  defence, allowing  Jacob  Lloyd  to  continue  to  exploit  opportunities  to  bring  his  three  quarters,  especially  his  centres into play. Accies  quickly  scored  two  tries  through  R.Wall , from  a  half  way  break, with  Jacob  Lloyd  also  benefiting  from  close  passing  to  score. Both scores  were converted  by  Lloyd. However,  College  were  not  dispirited  and  retaliated within  minutes  to turn  defence  into  attack  and  score  an  excellent  goal. Notwithstanding, Accies   mid  way through  the  half  went  further  ahead  as  the  College  pack  began to tire and  scored  three  marvellous  tries through  G. Vaterlaws, S. Roberts,  and  Arron   Bowman - all  skilfully  converted  by  J. Lloyd. However,  the  spirit  of the  Llandovery  dragon  remained  undaunted, and  with  a  final  flourish  in  the  last  minutes  of  the game, they  engineered  another  excellent  try  and  conversion, losing  the  game  21 points  to  52.
